About the author ...

Victor Gischler is a world traveler, beer-swiller, chicken-wing gobbler, dangerous golfer, and a film buff.  He earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Southern Mississippi where they beat him with rolled up newspapers and fed him raw liver.  Among his published novels are the Edgar Award nominated Gun Monkeys, the Anthony nominated Shotgun Opera and the highly acclaimed Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse.  Hollywood is currently working on adaptations of all three.  His work has been translated into French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and German.  His original screenplay Pulp Boy (co-written with super genius Anthony Neil Smith) is currently under development.  He took two lengthy trips to Prague two different summers to research locations for Vampire A Go-Go (and to partake of the world famous Czech beer).  He also writes Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth for Marvel Comics.  Victor lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with his wife and son.
